How to design an effective learning path?

We take great pride in our vast catalog, but it isn't meant to be consumed all at once.

If you had the opportunity to explore our catalog, you would have noticed its extensive range, covering topics for various roles, compliance frameworks, and phases of the SDLC.

How can you create a solid path for your team?

1. Small doses = effective training

Select one or two courses per quarter. After years of helping teams with their training, we confidently say that 2 hours per quarter is a good amount of training for your learners. More than that, your team can struggle to find time in their schedule to complete the course.

2. Choose a rule to follow

Are you planning to build paths based on your learner roles (developers, testers, leaders..)? Or focusing on SDLC phases? Perhaps you prefer to address a specific compliance framework. We suggest you filter the courses based on your specifications and pick a few courses from the results to build your paths. If you would like some suggestions, here you can find popular bundles based on favourite topics.

3. Set due dates

Tell your learners when you expect them to complete the training. Set a realistic due date. Consider how much time they will have available for training. Keep in mind that training, unfortunately, is not often the top priority in your learner's TODO list, so ensure you're providing enough time and resources for them to succeed with their learning.

4. Communication is the key!

Send a notification at the beginning of the training season. Prepare your team for what is expected for the next few months. Send reminders throughout the season, alerting on the due date. Work with the group leaders and security champions to spread the word. Email reminders usually help boost the completion rates.

5. Monitor completion rates

The reports will show the completion rates, but keep an eye on the reports to also identify low engagement. Early intervention can bring your team back on track before the end of the season.
